Beyond Distraction: Investigating the Emotional and Societal Roots of Delayed Self-Realization in Indian Youth
Author(s) | Chinthada Divakar |

Country | India |
Abstract | This qualitative study examines why many Indian youth experience emotional clarity and purpose only after completing formal education. Through interviews and reflective journals from 20 participants aged 18–25, the research identifies how emotional neglect, academic pressure, and media-driven consumerism delay self-realization. It proposes practical interventions—emotional intelligence education, mindfulness practices, and media literacy—to support earlier emotional development and decision-making. |
