Abstract The Novel “Oleander Girl” states the state of a young girl about her left orphan history and finding out the secrecy behind being orphan. A search on the vital truth of her parents and the mystery behind the death of her mother. Chitra portrays universal truth of love, affection, culture, tradition, bondage, enemity, nostalgia, dress code, disputes on religion, caste and race, betrayal and gratitude through various character inscribed in the novel.
