Abstract | This study aimed to develop a novel polyherbal transdermal patch for managing Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), using plant-based anti-inflammatory agents such as eucalyptus oil, camphor, ginger, methyl salicylate, and nicotine from Nicotiana tabacum. The patch was formulated using the solvent casting method with HPMC and PVP as polymers and evaluated for physicochemical properties. Among the formulations, F3 exhibited optimal characteristics in flexibility and moisture content. A patient survey revealed strong interest and openness toward herbal-based transdermal therapies. These findings suggest that such patches may offer a patient-friendly alternative to conventional RA treatments with fewer systemic side effects. |
