Reverse Mood Methodologies: Ethical Algorithmic Interventions to Prevent Emotional Collapse in Youngsters (Age 14–25)

Author(s) Chinthada Divakar
Country India
Abstract In digital environments, recommendation algorithms reinforce depressive content loops among emotionally vulnerable youth. This research introduces "Reverse Mood Methodologies," a conceptual framework embedded within platform algorithms that ethically detects emotional collapse signals and redirects users toward uplifting and confidence-building content. Grounded in emotional design, trauma-informed computing, and culturally adaptive strategies, it calls for a moral evolution in algorithmic priorities—from engagement to emotional recovery.
Keywords Algorithmic ethics, emotional collapse, trauma-informed computing, youth psychology, ethical AI design, emotional recovery frameworks
