Abstract This study explores the lived experiences of social studies local school board educators, shedding light on their struggles, resilience, and aspirations. Through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions with 14 LSB teachers in Maco, Davao de Oro, the research reveals the heavy workloads, inadequate compensation, and lack of access to professional development these teachers endure. Despite these hardships, they demonstrate remarkable dedication by finding ways to cope, leaning on peer support, self-learning, and unwavering commitment to their students. Their stories highlight the need for fair compensation, better support systems, and their passion for teaching despite the odds. This study offers valuable insights for policymakers and educational institutions, advocating for reforms that recognize and uplift LSB teachers. Ultimately, it calls for concrete actions to improve their working conditions, ensuring they are empowered to continue shaping the minds and futures of their students with hope and dedication.
