Abstract	Data mining has become a crucial technique for extracting useful information from large datasets, especially in the context of social networks. The exponential growth of social networking platforms has created vast amounts of data, leading to challenges such as data privacy, security, and ethical concerns. This paper explores various data mining techniques used in social networks, addressing key challenges such as scalability, noise in data, privacy preservation, and real-time processing. A comprehensive review of existing literature is conducted to highlight major findings and gaps. The study employs a systematic approach to analyse social network issues in data mining and provides recommendations for future research.
