Abstract | Today, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) plays an essential role in daily life. Information and Communication Technology is a prolonged term for Information Technology (IT) that delivers access a different kinds of information through telecommunication. It is mainly based on communication technologies. It also incorporates the computer system, audio-video display, mobile, and the Internet. Information and Communication technology is used in most fields such as Education, Agriculture, Medicine, Defense, E-governance, e-commerce, Banking, Transport, etc. The application of ICT has brought about distinctly radical technological, Social, and economic changes. These Changes have caused educational institutions, administrations, and teachers to reexamine their roles, teaching, and vision for the future. The use of ICT has changed strategies for working by both teachers and students in teaching and learning processes. In this study, researchers have to explore the benefits of Information Communication Technology use in the education system, in the enhancement of the teaching and learning process. A qualitative research method was employed in this study. The study was theoretically analysed with the help of various article reviews, journals, books, and newspapers, etc. It also highlights the limitations of using ICT, key initiatives, and challenges faced by higher education institutions and the government. to enhance the whole education system. |
