Abstract This study explores how ESG principles are embedded into corporate risk management frameworks as a strategic response to sustainability challenges. Through The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method and PRISMA protocol of 21 peer-reviewed articles published between 2017 and 2025 from Scopus. This research identifies five key antecedent factors (innovation, governance, board characteristics, ESG awareness, and motivation for ESG integration). These factors function as foundational enablers of organizational transformation toward sustainability. Regarding consequences, ESG integration demonstrates tangible benefits, including firm performance, risk mitigation, investor trust and loyalty, and long-term strategic resilience. This study contributes to the ESG literature by synthesizing fragmented insights and offering a research agenda that promotes interdisciplinary exploration of ESG as a strategic asset in corporate decision-making.
