| Abstract | Venous thromboembolism (VTE), encompassing deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. The transition from injectable anticoagulants ("needle") to oral agents ("pill") is a critical phase in VTE management, impacting hospital length of stay, patient compliance, and clinical outcomes. Understanding the timing and factors influencing this transition in a tertiary care setting can help optimize treatment protocols and improve patient care. |
