Abstract | The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the necessity for organizations to develop robust resilience strategies to withstand and adapt to unprecedented disruptions. This article explores the intertwined roles of internal audit and digitalized risk management in fostering organizational resilience in the post-pandemic context. Through a conceptual analysis, we examine how the integration of digital tools in risk management, combined with the assurance and advisory functions of internal audit, creates a synergistic effect that enhances organizational adaptability, agility, and sustainability. The findings suggest that organizations leveraging both functions in a coordinated manner are better positioned to anticipate, respond to, and recover from crises, thereby achieving a sustainable competitive advantage. |
