| Abstract | Cloud computing has emerged as a cornerstone of next generation technology, rapidly transforming the landscape of business and IT industries worldwide. As one of the fastest growing technologies today, cloud platforms leverage advanced servers to deliver on demand services to users with remarkable efficiency and scalability. At the heart of this evolution lies virtualization, a powerful approach that maximizes resource availability while addressing critical issues such as data loss, access control, and security vulnerabilities. This paper explores the transformative impact of virtualization within cloud environments. It examines how virtualization techniques not only expand the flexibility and adaptability of computing resources but also play a pivotal role in strengthening security against evolving threats. The discussion encompasses the core components of virtualization, including its various types, hypervisor architectures, and application frameworks. Furthermore, the paper highlights the resulting improvements in energy efficiency, system sustainability, and overall usability. This underscores virtualization’s essential contribution to the advancement and resilience of cloud computing systems. |
