| Abstract | The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated digital transformation and reshaped the data science landscape. While “big data” has dominated analytics discourse for over a decade, the pandemic highlighted the limitations of massive datasets and the growing importance of “small data” and scalable artificial intelligence (AI). This paper explores the shift toward small data approaches, the development of scalable AI models, and their roles in enabling agile decision-making in a rapidly changing world. Technical advances, case studies from healthcare and business, and implications for future data science practice are discussed. |
