Abstract | The humanities and social sciences are facing a significant challenge due to rapid technological advancements, creating a perceived "crisis”. However, the emerging field of digital humanities offers a solution. This discipline integrates digital methods and tools (like databases, AI, and virtual reality) with traditional humanities fields (linguistics, history, sociology, etc.) to offer new ways of understanding human phenomena. This work will explore how digital tools can be applied to analyze human phenomena. It will investigate how this convergence transforms research in the humanities, the challenges and opportunities it presents, and how to leverage this synergy for innovation and critical thinking. We opted for an interdisciplinary methodology, combining digital tools (data analysis, AI, digital modeling) with traditional SSH (Social Sciences and Humanities) approaches (textual analysis, historical study, social sciences). The research includes the selection of projects using digital tools in various fields, the collection of data on the effectiveness of these tools, and interviews with professionals. The expected outcomes are to identify key innovations in digital humanities and highlight the challenges that need to be addressed. This will provide new perspectives for research in the humanities and practical insights into applying digital technologies in the field. |
