Film Viewing as an Approach in Teaching Literature to High School Students: Basis for Instructional Enhancement

Abstract This study explored the use of film viewing as a strategy to improve student learning in high school literature classes. Using a quasi-experimental design, it measured the effects of movie-based instruction on the performance of Grade 10 students in Maco, Davao de Oro. The research aimed to determine whether this method could enhance comprehension, critical thinking, and creativity compared to traditional teaching approaches.
