Abstract | Despite growing concerns about its effects on the environment and a global shift to greener energy sources, coal mining continues to play a significant role in the world's energy supply. This essay examines the many methods of coal mining, the health and environmental issues that arise from coal extraction, and the emerging technologies that aim to make mining more ecologically friendly. The economic significance of coal, the challenges of switching to alternative energy sources, and the potential future of coal mining in the context of international efforts to combat climate change are also covered. |
