Digital Literacy and Internet Safety Practices among College Girls in Punjab

Abstract In today’s digital age, internet safety and digital literacy are critical for young women, especially in rural areas. This paper explores the level of awareness and the safe online behavior practiced by college-going girls in Punjab. Through institutional insights and secondary data, the study highlights common online risks, the role of women’s colleges in building digital confidence, and practical steps taken to enhance cyber hygiene. The aim is to promote responsible digital engagement and ensure that students can safely navigate the internet.
