Abstract With the increasing concerns of the environment, sustainability has emerged as a prime concern for organizations worldwide, especially for retailers. This research explores how green store designs affects customer perception and business performance, focusing particularly on environmentally friendly infrastructure and operational processes in top retail chains like D-Mart, IKEA India, Reliance Retail and Big Bazaar. With the use of a descriptive research design, data was gathered from 250 customers and 10 store managers via structured questionnaires and secondary sources like sustainability reports. Statistical methods involving descriptive statistics, correlation, regression analysis and cost-benefit assessment were used to explore relationships among green design, perception, brand loyalty, and economic viability.
