Prevalence of Musculoskeletal Injuries in Roll Ball players in Pune

Abstract The study discusses the musculoskeletal injuries in Roll Ball players which is caused due to the abrupt movement, jumps, direct contact with opponent players and pivot movement. Roll Ball is a novel sport so not much research are made on it. To accomplish this study, 149 samples where taken. The inclusion criteria was Roll Ball participants from Pune India. Age criteria was between 18-35. And the players who are playing the sport more than 6months where included in the study. A self-made questionnaire was distributed among the players for collecting the data. The questionnaire included the questions related to Roll ball, Past injuries and Current injuries. According to the data collected Shoulder, Wrist, Forearm and Fingers of upper limb and Knee, Ankle and toes are most common sites of injuries in Lower Limb. This study also looks at the other aspects, such as the intensity of pain due to injury, type of pain to whom the players were consulting while going through pain, where the players playing the sport through pain, what was the reason of players playing the sport.
