| Abstract | Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer with an increasing number of patients worldwide. Body image issues in patients after getting diagnosed are commonly observed, as a result of which anxiety level elevates and sleep quality gets poor in women. The most common problem faced by these women is related to the after-effects of treatment (surgery, chemotherapy). The period after getting diagnosed with breast cancer and before starting any treatment is very crucial for any person and with the help of proper diagnosis it will help them with adequate intervention. This study aims to investigate the relationship between body image, anxiety, and sleep quality in pre-treatment breast cancer women. A cross-sectional correlational study will involve 100 participants, aged 18-65 years, recruited through purposive sampling. Participants will complete the questionnaires circulated to them, including the Body-Self Image Questionnaire-Short Form (BSIQ), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Descriptive statistics, Pearson’s Correlation, and Moderation Analysis will analyze data. Results will reveal that anxiety and sleep quality will be negatively correlated, and body image will moderate the relationship between anxiety and sleep quality. |
