Abstract 21st century is best known for rapid technological advancements, globalization, and significant social, economic, and environmental changes. Rise of Artificial Intelligence driven automation, machine learning, and robotics transforming industries is leading youth towards stress, inattentiveness, week memory, unhealthy life and academic anxiety. The present study delved deep into the comparison in attention span and memory retention among middle stage children following exposure to 6 weeks of mindfulness-infused creative approaches. An experimental pre-test & post-test research design adopted in which 60 students (n=30 each in experimental and control group) of 12-14 years (class 6&7) were selected from Aadarsh Vidya Niketan School, Ajmer through purposive sampling method. Standardized questionnaires had been applied for collection of responses.
The experimental group (Mean = 77.06) significantly outperformed the control group (Mean = 62.24) in post-test total attention scores. The experimental group’s attention scores t = 5.41 were significantly higher than the control group (p<0.001). This confirms that the mindfulness-infused creative intervention had a strong positive effect on attention development. The paired t-test results (t = -11.93, p < 0.001) indicated a substantial enhancement in working memory who participated in the mindfulness-infused intervention. Many students progressed from "Below Average" and "Average" working memory levels to "Above Average." This suggests that mindfulness-based creative learning strategies positively influence cognitive flexibility, attention control, and memory retention. The independent t-test (t = 3.03, p = 0.0037) confirmed that the experimental group performed significantly better than the control group in the post-test. The findings of this study highlighted the importance of integrating mindfulness and creative approaches in education to promote cognitive development and learning abilities.
