Clinical Learning Environment in Nursing Education: A Comprehensive Review

Abstract Clinical learning is the cornerstone of Nursing education, serving as the bridge between theoretical knowledge and practical application The clinical learning environment (CLE) plays a pivotal role in shaping Nursing students’ professional competence, attitudes, and confidence. It encompasses the physical, psychological, and socio-cultural contexts in which students engage in patient care and develop clinical skills.. A positive CLE enhances motivation, knowledge retention, critical thinking, and skill acquisition, while a negative one can impede learning outcomes. This review explores the concept, components, influencing factors, evaluation methods, challenges, and strategies to optimize the CLE in nursing education
