Abstract This research paper investigates the dynamics of India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) using secondary data from reputable sources including the World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), Reserve Bank of India (RBI), National Statistical Office (NSO), and other databases. The study explores historical trends, sectoral contributions, GDP measurement methodologies, and future projections. Key themes include the effects of policy shifts, global economic interdependencies, and the challenges of capturing informal economic activity. India’s emergence as one of the top five global economies is explored alongside structural vulnerabilities and policy implications for sustainable growth.
