Abstract Teachers are the base of our society. Teachers create future generations as per the demand of the society and uplift the society through their students. A teacher with general teaching competency is not required by the society. The society demands a teacher with various qualities like emotional intelligence, self-confidence, subject knowledge etc. The present study is focussed on studying the attitude of B.Ed. Students towards Teaching Profession and its relationship with their Emotional Intelligence. A standardised psychological test of Attitude towards teaching profession and Emotional Intelligence Inventory has been applied on the B.Ed. Students. The population was all the B.Ed. students. A total of 250 students from 5 colleges were selected by applying the Stratified random sampling technique. The targeted population is all the institutions which run Bachelor of Education Programme and the students who have done their internship in any school. The research methodology which is used in the study is Descriptive field survey research type. The mean score of the sample shows a favourable attitude towards teaching profession and also shows average level of Emotional Intelligence.
