| Abstract | Cell-free DNA (cfDNA) analysis is rapidly emerging as a transformative tool with the potential to significantly improve outcomes in organ transplantation. This innovative approach leverages the presence of donor-derived cell-free DNA (dd-cfDNA) in the recipient's bloodstream as a non-invasive, dynamic biomarker for monitoring the health and function of the transplanted organ. By tracking dd-cfDNA levels, clinicians can gain valuable insights into the status of the graft, enabling early detection of complications such as rejection, infection, and organ injury, ultimately paving the way for more personalized and effective management of transplant recipients. |
