Adaptation of “Phad Painting”of Rajasthan on “Dupattas’’

Abstract Painting is presenting of thoughts and emotions in a two dimensional viewable manner which also have some appealing qualities. Lines, shapes, colors, tones, and textures are components used in different ways to create sensations of volume, space, movement, and light on a plane surface. Real or supernatural phenomena is depicted by integrating these components in expressive form which create a narrative theme, or make complete visual relationships. Aesthetically appealing feature and expressive ability and inability of particular medium, such as tempera, fresco, oil, acrylic, watercolour or other water-based paints, ink, gouache, encaustic, and particular form, such as mural, easel, panel, miniature, manuscript illumination, scroll, screen or fan, panorama, or any of a variety of modern forms help decides the artist to choose medium and form from available options .While working on a specific painting, creating beauty is always the priority of the artist. This is why the Indian arts have a recognizable position in the global arena. Paintings have ability to depict the feelings and emotions of the artist for a longer term in comparison to the other art form such as dance and music. Indian paintings have different regional styles. Since the prehistoric era, it has undergone numerous modifications. Similar to how the stories of several groups of people with various religions and cultures are portrayed in the Ajanta-Ellora cave paintings. There are clear spiritual and erotic overtones in the paintings. These Indian painting ideas, which feature Buddha, sleeping women, and romantic settings, can serve as an inspiration for any artist hoping to produce captivating artwork.. Punjab state is divided into three major regions, Majha, Malwa, & Doaba . The Punjab is basically divided due to the river Satluj & Beas flowing through district namely Jalandhar , Hoshaipur, Kapurthala , Nawashar & Phagwara . The cost of Dupattas were calculated by adding price of Dupattas, embellishment material , tools, & labour cost. Profit margin of 25% was then added the cost price to calculated the selling price. The estimated cost of Dupattas ranged Rs.500 to 800.
