| Abstract | Gamification, the application of game elements in non-game contexts, has emerged as a transformative pedagogical tool within higher education. Its integration into teacher education holds particular promise, as it encourages active participation, fosters motivation, and enhances conceptual retention among student teachers. This paper explores the theoretical foundations and benefits of gamification in teacher training, reviewing key scholarly perspectives and discussing its application in the context of Indian teacher education. In 2025, faculty members at Mata Sundri Girls College of Education, Dhade, Bathinda, began adopting gamified strategies in their classroom practices to enhance engagement among B.Ed trainees. While implementation is ongoing, this institutional effort reflects a forward-looking commitment to innovation in pedagogy. The paper situates gamification within broader educational reforms, emphasizing its potential to create resilient, enthusiastic, and technologically adaptive future educators. |
