Abstract Critical illness often causes anxiety and physiological instability in ICU patients, worsened by separation from family. Restricted visitation policies further limit emotional support. Virtual communication, such as video calls, offers a safe alternative, shown to reduce anxiety, enhance satisfaction, and stabilize physiological parameters. This quasi-experimental study evaluates the impact of virtual family interaction on ICU patients’ vital signs and anxiety, aiming to support evidence-based, patient-centered care.
