| Abstract | With the advancement in electronic communication after Covid-19, many corporate companies allowed their employees to work remotely as per their flexibility. However, it directly impacts in monitoring the work of those employees who are working from home. This qualitative case study examined strategies and tools for eff ectively evaluating employee performance in these remote settings, focusing on senior leaders’ experiences who transitioned to evaluating employees in positions traditionally conducted on-site. The performance appraisals in a remote model could explore the challenge, adaptation and innovation associated with evaluating employees' performance in a virtual environment. It might discuss how traditional appraisal methods need to evolve to align with remote work's unique dynamic , such as reliance on communication technologies, self management, and task based outputs rather than hours logged. A web based survey was designed to measure five factors - value, eff ectiveness, feedback, career development and organizational culture. These factors are identified in the literature as aff ecting the beliefs and attitudes of remote workers toward performance appraisal. This captures the dynamic approach to performance appraisals in remote work prioritizing outcome-driven evaluation while fostering employee engagement and well being. |
