| Abstract | This retrospective observational study involved 60 women with Stage III and Stage IV POP who were fitted with either double (n=55) or triple (n=5) vaginal ring pessaries between January 2023 and September 2024 at a Urogynaecology unit of a main state hospital. Twenty-six of these patients had previously used a single pessary, which was discontinued due to dislodgement. Medical records were collected for demographic data, POP-Q staging, vaginal ring size, episodes of ring dislodgement, duration of pessary retention, pessary downsizing, follow-up compliance, complications and whether patients ultimately underwent surgery. Patients who did not attend their next follow-up were successfully contacted to enquire about reasons. |
