A Framework-Based Approach To Automation Testing Using Python And Selenium: An Industrial Perspective

Abstract Automation testing has emerged as a cornerstone of efficient software development, particularly in Agile environments. This paper presents an original framework-based approach to test automation using Python and Selenium WebDriver. Through modular Page Object Model (POM) architecture, our solution improves maintainability and scalability for web application testing. Insights from an industrial internship at Tech Mahindra Ltd. are integrated to bridge theory and practice. The proposed framework is validated through automation of e-commerce websites and demonstrates improved reliability and defect detection rates.
