| Abstract | Objectives: To assess the knowledge on bio medical waste management among group D workers at Govt Rajaji Hospital, Madurai. To assess the knowledge on bio medical waste management among group D workers at Govt Rajaji Hospital, Madurai with their selected socio demographic variables Hypothesis: H1: There is statistically significant association between the level of knowledge on bio medical waste management among group D workers at Govt Rajaji Hospital, Madurai. Methodology: Non experimental (descriptive) research design was used 30 subjects selected by non-probability (purposive) sampling technique. Results: Majority of the subjects, 18 (60 %) were having average level of knowledge, 7 (23.3 %) were having below average level of knowledge and 5 (16.7 %) were having above average level of knowledge on biomedical waste management. The Mean score is 12.9 with Standard deviation is 2.5. Conclusion: The study concluded that majority of the workers have average level of knowledge on bio medical waste management among group D workers at GRH Madurai . There is significant association between the level of knowledge on biomedical waste with their selected socio-demographic variables. |
