| Abstract | The arrival of social media has transformed the political environment, creating new opportunities for political involvement, discussion, and organizing. This literature review looks at how social media intersects with politics, emphasizing the difficulties it brings to conventional political systems. By looking at existing research, this study shows how social media can both support democratic participation and spread false information and political division. The study's findings stress the importance of political structures that can handle the challenges brought about by social media effectively. |
