Abstract Language is the foundation of human communication, thought, and social interaction. Sanskrit, one of the most scientific and structured languages, holds immense cultural and intellectual significance in India. Yet in contemporary classrooms, it is often taught as a theoretical subject with limited practical application. This has led to a decline in student motivation and interest, as well as a lack of effective teaching strategies.
The present study explores the effectiveness of the Sangranthan Approach (Structural Approach) in the teaching and learning of Sanskrit, with a special focus on developing speech and writing skills. Unlike traditional lecture-based methods, this approach emphasizes activity-based learning, communicative exercises, contextual usage, and active learner participation. The research problem has been framed as: “A Study of the Effectiveness of Sangranthan Approach in Learning Sanskrit Language.”
