The Role of Education in Political Mobilisation: Empowering Minds, Engaging Citizens.

| Abstract | Education is essential to political mobilization because it enables people and communities to take an active part in politics. Citizens’ understanding, political consciousness, and sense of agency are shaped by educational systems, producing knowledgeable individuals who can analyze political issues and make sound judgments. Both formal and informal education, including social media and online platforms, mobilize diverse groups such as women, youth, and marginalized populations. Education helps transcend socio-economic barriers, oppose repressive structures, and promote inclusive policies, while also posing ethical challenges when misused for divisive agendas. Striking a balance is crucial to ensure that education promotes democratic participation, social cohesion, and the creation of a just and equal society. |
