Abstract The study examined the influence of psychological well-being, psychological empowerment, and job satisfaction on work engagement among public-school teachers in rural communities using predictive research design. Non-probability sampling, purposive sampling technique was used. Using Stepwise Regression Analysis, results revealed that job nature—a sub-dimension of Job Satisfaction variable—consistently emerged as the strongest predictor across all dimensions of work engagement, explaining 29.4% of physical, 40.6% of cognitive, and 32.3% of emotional engagement. The inclusion of self-determination, supervision, pay, and fringe benefits significantly improved the models, with total explained variance up to 39.9%, 51.4%, and 44.6% respectively. While all predictors were statistically significant, fringe benefits showed a negative effect in final models, indicating possible misalignment with teachers' needs. These findings served as a guide in developing human resource development programs that will help public-school teachers enhance their overall work engagement.
