Navigating Chaos: India’s Strategic Ascent Amid Global Conflicts

| Abstract | The present study examines the effect of international tensions—Russia-Ukraine conflict, US-China trade tensions, Israel-Hamas, and 2025 India-Pakistan crisis—on India's economic, political, social, and security spaces. Mixed methods through thematic case study methodology and econometric modeling indicate drastic disruptions alongside adaptive resilience. The GDP growth dipped to 6.5% in FY 2024–25 on account of supply chain discontinuity, whereas industry FDI rose 18% and defense exports increased, which reflects self-reliance. Diplomatically, relations are counterbalanced by QUAD relations strained with tensions in 2025. Socially, refugee migration and inflation drive unrest, brokered by soft power in the name of aid. Security modernization is threatened more, including cyberattacks and border tensions. The analysis approximates effects with bilateral causalities, where economic damage elicits social and security responses. The suggestions are plural energy, AI-driven cybersecurity, and increased multilateralism to enable India's global leadership. While grounded on secondary data, the research suggests India's strategic development in a multipolar world and carries implications for sustainable development. |
