Abstract RabindranathTagore (1861 -1941) was the brightest representative of the 19th century Indian renaissance.His strong presence in all branches of art and literature, culture, society,religion through his huge activities was the highlight.He played a significant role in the revival of the Dance in India and bringing women in the arena of Performing arts.This research paper explores the contribution of Rabindranath Tagore to women in performing arts and discusses how relevant it is to the current system.
