Abstract The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into traditional industries has opened new opportunities and challenges for women entrepreneurs, particularly in the textile sector. This study investigates how AI adoption influences awareness, perception, and business performance of women entrepreneurs in Jaipur’s textile industry. Primary data was collected from 150 women entrepreneurs through a structured questionnaire using 5-point Likert scales. The data was analyzed using SPSS through descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, t-tests, ANOVA, and multiple regression.
Findings reveal that awareness of AI applications in textiles (such as automated design tools, predictive demand forecasting, digital marketing, and supply-chain optimization) is growing but uneven. While many respondents perceive AI as an enabler of efficiency, innovation, and competitiveness, concerns remain regarding cost, technical know-how, and trust in technology. Correlation analysis showed that positive perceptions of AI strongly influence entrepreneurial intention to adopt AI-based solutions. Regression results demonstrated that awareness, perceived benefits, and digital readiness positively predict adoption intention, while risk perception and lack of trust act as barriers.
The study concludes that AI is reshaping the textile sector for women entrepreneurs by blending traditional practices with digital transformation. However, successful adoption requires targeted training, financial support, and awareness programs. The paper highlights the need for stronger policy support and accessible AI tools tailored for small-scale women entrepreneurs in textiles.
