Digital Tools for Promoting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Higher Education

| Abstract | Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have become a global framework to guide education, governance, and social transformation. Higher education institutions play a pivotal role in advancing these goals by integrating sustainability into teaching, research, and community outreach. This paper explores how Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools—such as mobile applications, online platforms, and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)—are being used to promote awareness and action toward SDGs in higher education. Drawing from secondary research and case examples, the study highlights how digital platforms can enhance awareness about climate action, waste management, sustainable agriculture, and responsible consumption. The paper also evaluates government initiatives such as SWAYAM, Digital India, and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan that support sustainability education through ICT.
