ABSTRACT:
This descriptive-correlational study examined the relationship between employees'
perceptions of the extent of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices at the Local
Government Unit (LGU) of Malay, Aklan, and their satisfaction of the HRM services. A
survey of 100 employees evaluated key HRM practices, including recruitment, training,
performance appraisal, compensation, employee relations, and separation. Findings indicated
that HRM practices were generally perceived as extensive, and employees were satisfied with
HRM services with training and development having the highest mean while employee
relations obtained the lowest mean. There were no significant differences in perceptions
based on demographics. Furthermore, a high positive correlation resulted between the extent
of HRM practices and satisfaction of the HRM services. The study recommended enhancing
compensation, exploring employee separation practices, and improving communication in
employee relations to further boost employee satisfaction and organizational success.
Keywords HRM Practices, Employee Satisfaction, Recruitment, Training, Performance Appraisal, Compensation, Employee Relations, Employee Separation.
