Energy Harvesting Using Piezoelectric Shoe Technology from Cattle Livestock Movement

Author(s) Mr. Aditya Shashikant Kulkarni, Mr. Shrinivas Mohan Kulkarni
Country India
Abstract This paper presents a livestock-mounted piezoelectric shoe that harvests energy from animal steps. The three-layered design (wooden holder, steel plate, rubber sole) converts hoof pressure into electricity, validated through experiments and simulations. Results show that a bull can generate ~483 J per step, enough to charge a small battery within 25 steps, making the system eco-friendly, cost-effective, and promising for rural electrification.
