| Abstract | Decision-making has always played a critical role in the progress of diverse domains such as politics, economics, technology, and global governance. However, conventional decision-making models often fail to adequately address the complexity, uncertainty, and dynamic nature of modern systems. This study explores the strategic integration of game theory and artificial intelligence (AI) as a framework for enhanced decision-making. Game theory provides the mathematical foundation for analyzing strategic interactions among rational agents, while AI contributes computational intelligence, adaptability, and learning capabilities. By merging these two paradigms, this research demonstrates how hybrid models can generate improved outcomes in negotiation, optimization, conflict resolution, policy formulation, and human–machine collaboration. This paper develops a theoretical model of synergy, provides a comprehensive review of literature across both domains, and examines practical applications in areas such as robotics, cybersecurity, healthcare, economics, and defence. It also addresses key challenges, including issues of interpretability, computational complexity, and ethical dilemmas. The study concludes by identifying promising directions for future research, such as quantum game-theoretic approaches and multi-agent reinforcement learning. The findings emphasize that the integration of game theory and artificial intelligence constitutes not only a methodological toolkit but also a transformative paradigm for achieving decision-making excellence in the 21st century. |
