Abstract Ajmer, known for its unique blend of natural landscapes and cultural heritage, remains an under-explored destination in the context of ecotourism. The lack of detailed studies on how this fusion can be leveraged for sustainable tourism development poses a significant gap in the field of ecotourism research. This research aims to explore the potential of Ajmer as an ecotourism destination by examining its natural and cultural assets. The objectives include identifying key ecotourism opportunities, understanding the socio-economic impact on local communities, and assessing sustainable tourism practices in the region. A mixed-methods approach will be employed, combining qualitative and quantitative data. Surveys and interviews with local stakeholders, tourists, and ecotourism experts will be conducted to assess perceptions and attitudes towards ecotourism in Ajmer. Additionally, field visits will help analyze the environmental and cultural significance of major tourist sites. The study is expected to highlight Ajmer’s untapped potential as an ecotourism destination and provide recommendations for developing sustainable tourism models. The research will also aim to showcase the importance of preserving Ajmer’s natural and cultural heritage while fostering eco-friendly tourism practices. This research will contribute valuable insights to the field of ecotourism, particularly in the context of Ajmer, and offer a framework for sustainable tourism development. The findings will be beneficial for policymakers, tourism authorities, and local communities to adopt environmentally responsible practices while enhancing the region's economic development through tourism.
