| Abstract | Human relationships are the core of one’s very existence. Each moment when lived mindfully lead to enhanced and elevated professional and personal experiences. Mindful ethical leadership is thus the way towards conscious growth. The present study aims at establishing an association between mindfulness and ethical leadership on 100 employees of Multi-National Companies (MNC) primarily from Delhi and Bangalore. Convenient sampling was be done. The statistical tools used to assess and account for the variables were The Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS) by Brown, & Ryan (2003) and Ethical Leadership Scale by Brown et al., (2003, 2005). The observed results indicated a significant, positive correlation between mindfulness and ethical leadership with a value of 0.248 (p<0.05) level. Further, the personality characteristics of MNC’s employees, obtaining extreme scores on ethical leadership, were analysed using graphology. 10 employees from the sample were selected for the qualitative analysis out of which, 5 respondents scoring high and 5 scoring low on ethical leadership scale were considered for graphological analysis. Personality traits such as honesty and sympathy were observed in sample belonging to high ethical leadership scores while 3 out of the 5 selected subjects having low ethical leadership exhibited impulsive behavioural traits. |
