Abstract The rapid expansion of financial technology (Fintech) has transformed the way individuals and businesses access financial services, but its impact varies significantly across urban and rural contexts. This study presents a comparative analysis of Fintech adoption, usage patterns, and challenges in urban and rural regions. It explores the influence of digital infrastructure, financial literacy, trust, and regulatory frameworks on the growth of Fintech ecosystems. While urban areas benefit from advanced connectivity, higher awareness, and more diverse service offerings, rural areas
often face barriers such as limited internet access, lower technological familiarity, and reliance on traditional financial systems. However, rural Fintech is emerging as a critical driver for financial inclusion, enabling digital payments, micro-credit, and accessible banking for underserved populations. By highlighting the opportunities and constraints in both settings, this research provides insights into how Fintech can bridge regional disparities and support inclusive economic development. The findings underline the need for customized strategies that integrate technology, policy, and financial education to strengthen Fintech adoption across diverse socio-economic
landscapes.
