Digital Transformation in the Indian Real Estate Sector: Opportunities and Challenges

Abstract This work focuses on the digital transformation in the Indian Real Estate sector,What are the challenges and opportunities faced by the a proprietor and how Proptech,Blockchain Technology,Fintech is changing and can bring a revolution in the Real Estate Sector and also how to use the technology to buy,sell,and rent properties.Digitalisation in its broadest sense, refers to the process of using digital technologies to transform businesses, processes, and even entire industries, leading to new revenue streams, improved efficiencies, and enhanced customer experiences. It involves more than just converting any source of information into digital formats.Now people often confuse between digitalization and digitization. Though digitization comes under digitalization but both have different meanings.Where digitization is the process of converting high format files and hard papers into a digital form like PDF or any other digital form on the other hand, Digitalization is the process which involves the strategy of converting a business into digital form for which digitation is very essential.As India aspires to be a developed real estate market,analysis of the growing technology or proptech is growing day by day.This study provides the Indian Real Estate stakeholders a way to enhance their business by digitalizing it.Digitalization will help them in quick decision making, reducing the effort of preparing hard copies and papers ,creating huge storage for the same.
