Effect of Weft Densities on Fabric Properties in Polyester-Viscose and Polyester-Wool Blended Fabrics

Author(s) Mr. Brijesh Kolte
Country India
Abstract This research investigates the impact of varying weft densities and weave structures on fabric properties in Polyester-Viscose (P/V) and Polyester-Wool (P/W) blended fabrics. Experimental analysis was conducted on woven samples to study crimp percentage, thickness, cover factor, handle, crease recovery, stiffness, tensile strength, elongation, and dimensional stability. The results reveal significant correlations between weft density, weave structure, and key fabric performance parameters, with plain weave consistently showing superior strength and dimensional stability.
