Abstract ABSTRACT
The study was under taken to a study to assess the effectiveness of planned teaching programme on knowledge of women regarding warning signs in pregnancy and its management in selected rural area Kunjganar, Bishrampur, Surajpur (C.G.).
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Every pregnant women should have the knowledge about warning signs of pregnancy that help her to take a right decisions and she along with her family can take appropriate health care seeking actions. Meaning of the health care seeking in taking appropriate and immediate care without delay which not only reduces maternal mortality but also morbidity. There for health education should be given to pregnant women about her pregnancy. Progress, outcomes and warning signs of pregnancy, family planning, nutrition as well as other services when she visits.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
 To assess the pre test knowledge score of women regarding warning signs in pregnancy and its management among women.
 To provide planned teaching programme on knowledge score regarding warning signs in pregnancy and its management among women.
 To assess the post test knowledge score of women regarding warning sign in pregnancy and its management among women.
 To find out difference between pretest and posttest knowledge score regarding warning signs in pregnancy and its management among women.
 To find out association between pretest knowledge score with their selected demographic variables.
TARGET POPULATION
In the present study total population is women 1714 in selected community area of Jainagar Bishrampur Surajpur (C.G.).
ACCESSIBLE POPULATION
In present study accessible population is women in selected community area Jainagar, Bishrampur (C.G.).


SETTING OF THE STUDY
The setting for the present study was conducted in selected Anganwadi kunjnagar, Jainagar Bishrampur Surajpur (C.G.).
SAMPLE
In present study sample was women in selected community area jainagar bishrampur surajpur (C.G.).
SAMPLE SIZE
In the present study the sample comprise of 30 women in selected community area Jainagar Bishrampur Surajpur (C.G.).
SAMPLING TECHNINQUE
In this study non-probability convenience sampling technique was use to draw the sample.
SAMPLING CRITERIA
In sampling criteria the researcher specifies the characteristic of the population under the study by detailing the inclusion and exclusion criteria.
RESULT
The research approach used in this study is quantitative research approach was used to select the sample. The sample size compressed of 30 women under age group 21-40 years in selected rural area Kunjnagar , Bishrampur,Surajpur (C.G.). data were collected using semi-structured questionnaire to assess the knowledge. Data analysis was done by using descriptive and inferential statistics.
The finding of the study revealed that the 20% of respondents had poor knowledge. 76.66% of respondents had average knowledge and 3.33% of respondents had good knowledge regarding warning signs in pregnancy.
There is association with knowledge score of the women under age group 21-40 year regarding knowledge of warning signs in pregnancy in selected socio demographic variable like age , marital status, religion, educational status, occupational status, number of pregnancy, family type, previous knowledge, exposure to source of information, residence among women was found to be significant at 0.05 level of significance.
The finding of the study suggest the need of providing education to the women under age group 21-40 years in selected area Kunjnagar, Bishrampur, Surajpur (C.G.). Regarding knowledge of warning signs in pregnancy. We must be get knowledge and follow the education for better health and wellbeing.
