| Abstract | Ayurveda, the ancient science of life, emphasizes the importance of maintaining a balanced state of Sharira (body), Manas (mind), and Atma (soul) for overall health. These are the existence of Ayu. Ayurveda considers the mind and body as two pathways for disease manifestation. Mana has in it three constituents in Satvam, Rajas and Tamas. Later, the two are reactive tendencies that vitiate the Manas, leading to physiological disturbance. Rajas and Tamas, hence, are termed as two Doshas of Manas, likewise Vata, Pitta and Kapha are termed as Doshas of the body vitiate the body, leading to metabolic disturbance which ultimately culminates in a physiological disturbance. This conceptual study explores role of krodha through analysis of different classical texts and elucidates how chronic anger and its suppression lead to Dosha aggravation, disrupting the equilibrium of Manas and Sharira |
