| Abstract | Teenage pregnancy eradication has been attempted via the combined efforts of development thinkers and practitioners. But this threat still exists across the globe. This has spurred additional worldwide research into more effective ways to solve the issue. In this sense, it has been found that one way to encourage teens to engage in healthy sexual behavior is through communication, especially when it comes to caregiver-teen dialogue on sexual issues. The available studies have either concentrated on the prevalence or determinants of caregiver-teen communication with little regard for how it bears on prevention of teenage pregnancy, despite the fact that a significant amount of literature identifies caregiver-teen communication as a strategy in reducing teenage pregnancy. The objective of this study was to assess the influence of the nature of caregiver teen communication in the prevention of teenage pregnancy in Butere Sub County. |
